Form and function An acoustic ceiling with a unique design at Altlünen Grammar School cuts reverberation times while acting as a fascinating counterpoint to the striking exposed concrete used in the building design. OWAplan – bright, seamless exposed surfaces and elegantly curved edges make the ceiling look almost like a canopy. In addition to the variable design, the fire protection afforded by the non-flammable ceiling structure was also an important criterion in the decision-making process.
