Four at one stroke The idea of using acoustic ceilings to give individuality to the various rooms of the day school in Meinersen while preserving their unified appearance even went as far as the mineral ceiling tiles. They all have a smooth and bright surface in common, which reflects the light and emphasises their unity – and at a cursory glance even gives the impression that the same tiles have been used throughout. Having said that, closer inspection reveals four different surface patterns, including Brillianto A, each with different acoustic properties matched precisely to the room. This made it possible to optimise the relationship between sound reflection and absorption for each group of rooms.
